AITI is recognized by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Registered with Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA), AITI has been approved to run translation courses recognized Australia wide and issue qualifications at the Diploma and Advanced Diploma

levels (Provider Number: 21662). With the approval from DEST, AITI is able to

recruit overseas students (CRICOS Number: 02692F).

The Advanced Diploma of Translating and the Advanced Diploma of Interpreting offered at Australian Institute of Translation and Interpretation are both recognized by NAATI. Students having successfully completed the course examinations at AITI shall be automatically eligible to apply for NAATI professional accreditation (Level 3) without sitting the examinations held by NAATI.

AITI has a high profile teaching team. All our teachers hold professional level (Level 3) accreditations or above and most of them have PhD or Master degrees. With years of experience in teaching translation / interpretation as well as work experience, they are amongst the best in the field of translation and Interpretation. To further broaden the spectrum of our teaching staff, we have also invited many senior professors from Australian Translators’ Association and China Translators’ Association to be our advisors and guest professors.

AITI has two campuses. One is located in the CBD of Melbourne, capital of the state of Victoria; the other is in the centre of Geelong - the second largest city in Victoria. AITI is equipped with the latest models of computers, audio-visual facilities, spacious and bright classrooms and a special translation reference library. The students are provided with excellent study environment and rich resources for study. Students will be able enjoy great opportunities for extensive translation work with the institute’s subsidiary translation company and dozens of other associates specializing in translation.
