The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) requires all under 18 international students when entering Australia on a student visa to have appropriate accommodation, support and welfare arrangements in place. There are three ways to meet DIAC’s visa requirements for under 18 students: live in Australia with a parent or custodian, live in Australia with a relative approved by DIAC or appoint AITI to approve the care arrangements. International students under 18 years old should notify AITI about their choice of care arrangements by completing Under 18 Student Care Arrangement Form.
